  • You don’t know but that’s okay
    You might find me anyway
    Don’t you know that i
Belong arm in arm with you, baby
In a town that’s cold and gray
We will have a sunny day
    Don’t you know that i
Belong arm in arm with you, baby…

    I do not know
    Where does it go
    When it goes
    Suddenly though
    Everything’s slow
    And i miss you so

Round each corner there’s a chance
    People searching glance to glance
    Moving by real fast
Like insects and fish when they’re scared
And they sing the same old song
Though it’s been so very long
They sing, raindrops falling on my head
But that doesn’t mean that i am dead

    And i do not know
    Where does it go
    When it goes
    Suddenly though
    Everything’s slow
    And i miss you so

You don’t know but that’s okay
    You might find me anyway
    Don’t you know that i
Belong arm in arm with you, baby
In a town that’s cold and gray
We will have a sunny day
    Don’t you know that i
Belong arm in arm with you, baby…

  • Trustworthy
A Scout tells the truth. He keeps his promises. Honesty is part of his code of conduct. People can depend on him.

Literally, he should be worthy of my trust.

    Loyal
A Scout is true to his family, Scout leaders, friends, school, and nation.

He must be faithful. Honest and reliable.

    Helpful
A Scout is concerned about other people. He does things willingly for others without pay or reward.

He should understand how hard I work and want to help me when I feel I need help. He should do it out of the goodness of his heart, without me nagging him to death.

    Friendly
A Scout is a friend to all. He is a brother to other Scouts. He seeks to understand others. He respects those with ideas and customs other than his own.

Well, not overly friendly. Except with me, of course! He must be cordial, if not friendly, to people who are important to me.

    Courteous
A Scout is polite to everyone regardless of age or position. He knows good manners make it easier for people to get along together.

He should be considerate and respectful of my feelings (you know, try to help me get past my insecurities and minor jealousies).

    Kind
A Scout understands there is strength in being gentle. He treats others as he wants to be treated. He does not hurt or kill harmless things without reason.

and not just to animals! If I’m wearing something unflattering, he can tell me honestly but diplomatically.

    Obedient
A Scout follows the rules of his family, school, and troop. He obeys the laws of his community and country. If he thinks these rules and laws are unfair, he tries to have them changed in an orderly manner rather than disobey them.

If I need help and request it, he should at least try to acquiesce.

    Cheerful
A Scout looks for the bright side of things. He cheerfully does tasks that come his way. He tries to make others happy.

Not a “don’t worry, be happy” kind of a guy. I want a man who can still smile after I’ve forgotten to change the kitty litter for a week!

    Thrifty
A Scout works to pay his way and to help others. He saves for unforeseen needs. He protects and conserves natural resources. He carefully uses time and property.

He should be somewhere between leaving an ounce of milk in the carton and putting us into financial ruin with his extravagance.

    Brave
A Scout can face danger even if he is afraid. He has the courage to stand for what he thinks is right even if others laugh at or threaten him.

What I really want is a guy who can face life’s adversities with me.

    Clean
A Scout keeps his body and mind fit and clean. He goes around with those who believe in living by these same ideals. He helps keep his home and community clean.

I don’t think this needs to be explained.

    Reverent
A Scout is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties. He respects the beliefs of others.

He must believe that we can and will be together for a lifetime. Even if it doesn’t end up a lifetime, it needs to be treated as if it would be. You know?
